We like to run our Kiosks using the free version of the Fully Kiosk Browser app. This player runs on any device with Android TV / Google TV OS.
Streaming Devices that Run Android TV or Google TV OS
- Onn. Android TV Box (Walmart)
- Super cheap ($20–30); surprisingly solid for kiosk use
- Chromecast with Google TV
- Best budget choice; full access to Play Store; supports sideloading
- Nvidia Shield TV / Pro
- High performance; great for digital signage, gaming, or 4K playback
- Xiaomi Mi Box S / Mi TV Stick
- Affordable; runs Android TV OS; good for kiosk/basic signage
- Tivo Stream 4K
- Low-cost, Android TV with USB-C port for peripherals
- Ematic Jetstream 4K
- Older budget option; still Android TV OS
Note: Fully Kiosk Browser also has an App that will run on Firestick (Fire OS). The downside is the Firestick will revert back to the homescreen after 5 hours of operation unless you click the remote. We have tried every trick in the book to keep this from happening but, you have to use the remote or it thinks you’ve fallen asleep. (Thanks Jeff.)
